Key Responsibilities
• Manage the design of streets, roadways, highways, and interchanges to meet local, state and federal requirements,
• Planning, analysis and design of projects, scheduling staff, review of work, training and mentoring staff, proposal preparation, project presentation, project management and budget management
• Contribute to JCTPL business goals by providing technical expertise and leadership on Highway/Roadway Engineering projects
• Act as and/or support the project technical lead (PTL) to ensure that project outcomes on road design projects meet both the client and Stantec’ expectations
• Recruit talented engineers and CAD Designers to grow the Highways Engineering practice in JCTPL office.

• Efficient management of multiple concurrent projects
• Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule
• Understand client expectations, budgeting, and proposal writing
• Technical expert in all relevant areas of design and understanding of various design methods
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
• Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams
• Demonstrate leadership ability
• Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialist and Discipline leads across the globe
• Expert level of client service management, i.e.: ability to interface with and build lasting, positive relationships with our Clients

Qualifications
• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Highway/Transportation Engineering
• 5 – 15 years of experience of which at least 6-8 years should include design experience.
• Proficient use of MicroStation V8i, In Roads, Civil 3D nd MX Roads
• Sound knowledge of all technical standards such as IRC, Roadway Design Guides.
